What The Hell Happened at Woofington’s is a docuseries released for TVNZ+ that delves into the mystery of what went wrong at the luxury dog daycare Woofington, detailing a story of crime, neglectc and drug use. Throughout the documentary many animations can be seen which help visualise the stories told on screen, giving the viewer a further glimpse to this world.
My goal throughout this project was on compositing and animating the various animated scenes. This involved animating characters and objects where necessary, adding things like particle effects, animating light and shadows, and adding in 3D camera movement to scenes to help bring everything to life. The final output helps capture specific moments in time, acting almost as a picture in a storybook brought to life.
